ANAEROBIC ALLEGIANCE
Some might not be as familiar with the word anaerobic, but as you may have noticed it contains the root word aerobic, which most of us are very familiar with.
Even if we don’t do aerobics, we know what it is. Smile.
The difference between aerobics and anaerobics is air.
Aerobic means ‘with air’, and anaerobic means ‘without air’.
Both are ways to exercise, but anaerobic utilizes the heart considerably more.
Anaerobic means without oxygen. Our brain needs oxygen. We are purposefully taking our minds out of this exercise to utilize our hearts more.
When many of us hear the word allegiance, we think of commitment or loyalty.
I pledge my allegiance to ___________.
Another word for allegiance is Faith. Our Faith Manual tells us that Faith without Works/a workout, means nothing.
This message at its core is about improving our Spiritual Health by exercising our Faith using our hearts more than our minds through regular routine exercises.
It’s all about the heart.
This anaerobic routine will help us build Spiritual endurance, strength, and power.
We must learn how to workout our faith. To do so we must be heart healthy.
Having Faith is a journey, not a destination. Every journey begins with a first step.
We must build up our Faith endurance, and that’s exactly what anaerobics does.
The foundation for faith in anything is built upon expectations we develop through experiences.
If you regularly experience your car starting up once you put the key in the ignition, you soon grow to have faith that it will start every time you do so.
You follow the routine, and you get the expected results.
Many of us don’t have a routine for growing in Faith.
We expect results without exercising our faith. But as previously stated, God told us that having faith without working it out will yield no return.
I’ve heard it said that expectations are nothing more than premeditated resentments waiting to be manifested.
That’s a true statement if you don’t put in the work.
Merely expecting something to happen does not make it happen.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr once said, “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase”.
Join me on a cardio walk on a cardio Walk of Faith
Today I will share 3 Steps in Faith, that if you regularly do them your faith will grow strong, your belief will become powerful, and your “expectant” heart rate will strengthen.
Let’s get to Steppin’
STEP #1
Read to Know. We must begin to read the Bible, what I refer to as My Faith Manual, for ourselves. This is Key. Many people often misquote what it says. We must learn for ourselves the cadence and temperament of God’s word personally. This is not for the purpose of recital to others. Its for our own strength! Try reading a line or two at first daily. Remember, baby steps. Don’t be concerned about full understanding at this point just get some of it in you. ‘No Air’, this is not a mental exercise, but a heart exercise. Get His word in your heart. Perhaps start by reading Psalm 23 every day, some, or all of it. Repetition is how we learn and grow.
STEP #2
Talk the Walk. God says that Faith grows in us when we hear it. We need to start saying the words that we read, so we can hear them with our hearts. “With our hearts we believe, and with our mouths we profess our faith.” That’s in Our Faith Manual as well, the book of Romans 10:10. As you are Reading Psalm 23, say it out loud. The Lord is MY Shepherd. This is a Powerful message to repeat daily.
STEP #3
Pray what you Say. God’s words are powerful, it’s how he created everything! When we release His words into the atmosphere, we change our reality to match what he said. Let there be light! We will have light, understanding, illumination, and be able to see what He wants us to see. Even if it has been hidden.
READ, SAY, PRAY! …READ, SAY, PRAY! …READ, SAY, PRAY!
Don’t let the seemingly simplicity of the first 3 steps fool you. They are quite powerful as we continue to exercise with them regularly.
These are 3 powerful ways to get Gods word in you and exercise your Faith!
Just like it is important to exercise physically, it is equally important to exercise Spiritually.
If we neglect to grow our Faith, we will become weak and brittle.
May we all Grow Strong in the Power and Might of the Lord.
This is a Thompson Truth
