THE TRANSMIGRATION Part 2

Many of us are familiar with the word migration, which refers to the seasonal movements of animals.

However, Transmigration, deals more with spiritual aspects, rather than the natural ones.

Transmigration doesn’t change who you are, even though you have changed locations.

Just because you visit a place, doesn’t mean that you gave up your citizenship from your homeland.

In the previous message, The Transmigration Part 1, we were talking about living our best life, and what, that would look like.

I shared that my best life would be in Heaven, like this scripture speaks of.

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither anguish or sorrow, nor crying, no more grief, neither shall there be any more pain; for the old way and former conditions will be done away with. - Revelation 21

Last time our focus was on one of Heavens most famous citizens, who came to reside on Earth through transmigration, as the man of dust, called Adam.

In today’s message, The Transmigration Part 2, we will look further into Adam, and the two people by which that name refers to. The first Adam, and the Adam after him.

The First Adam we understand was translated into a human being by the air inside of God.

Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. – Genesis 2:7

The next Adam was also fashioned likewise. He came from inside of the bowels of God and was made a man.

The Bible refers to that next Adam, as the Last Adam, because there will be no one else brought from Heaven to Earth like those two. Jesus is referred to in scripture as the Last Adam.

“So, it is written, the first man Adam became a single living person, But the Last Adam-that is Christ – is a life-giving spirit” 1Corinthians 15:45

Here we see that Adam was not a name, but rather a type of resident from Heaven.

Neither Adam had a human father. God fathered both Adams.

There are several parallels that tie the two together, like location, circumstances, and purpose.

Both had major life events in a garden. The first Adam yielded to temptation in a garden that changed his life forever, the last Adam resisted temptation in a garden that changed OUR lives forever.

Both were clothed in the glory of God. Yet, the first Adam exchanged his glory garments for leaves of personal shame. The last Adam was stripped of his glory garments, beaten, and covered with blood and thorns for his self-sacrifice of love for all.

Both experienced Death by Tree.

The first Adam brought a curse on all of humanity by eating fruit from a tree, while the last Adam became that curse, and hung on a tree, so that all humanity could live blessed once again.

Both came from immortality and chose to die. The first Adam died for himself because of his arrogance and ignorance, the last Adam died for others because of his obedience and love.

The first Adam only focused on his life, while the last Adam gave his only life as his focus for our life.

The first Adam arrived here as a full-grown adult male who was very naïve and immature, the last Adam arrived here as a baby who grew in wisdom and knowledge so that he could experience every aspect of the life we live. To be tempted by everything that tempts us.

The first Adam left us with no hope of ever returning to heaven again, the last Adam is the only HOPE we have of ever seeing God. (again)

The first Adam was made, selected, or chosen as are many to be a son, but the last Adam was the only begotten son, as in he is the only one who chose the assignment to bring us back to Heaven.

The first Adam went from his life in the spirit to his death in the flesh.

The last Adam, came from purpose in the spirit, to die in the flesh, to be resurrected in the flesh and reign in the spirit, to give us power over death, hell, and the grave.

There’s a song by Donald Lawrence that I really like called “Spiritual”, which says it best.

We are not natural beings having a spiritual experience. But we are spiritual beings living a natural experience. O Lord let me live in the Spirit!

This life was never intended to be our best life; it is an experience we are having on our way to our best life.

Be sure to get Part 3 -The Transmigration, to learn more about how the last Adam gives us our opportunity to be Transmigrated back.

Back with God, Back in Heaven, Back where we came from.

O Lord, Let us live Spiritual!
