WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? Part 2
Last time we spoke of the awesome power within each of us called our thoughts.
It is not only, what are you thinking, but where are you thinking it. Let me explain.
In each of our minds, we have an expression through both conscious thoughts and subconscious thoughts. Conscious thoughts are those we are aware of; we know exactly what we are thinking about, it is present now. The subconscious thoughts are in the background, always running like some apps on your mobile phone. Every thought in your subconscious mind has no reference to time or space, they are eternal.
The power of your subconscious mind goes further than you might think.
Your subconscious mind is a powerful force to be reckoned with. It makes up around 95% of your brainpower and handles everything your body needs to function properly, from eating and breathing to digesting and making memories.
Our subconscious minds are like a huge memory bank. Its capacity is unlimited, and it permanently stores everything that has ever happened to you.
The function of our subconscious mind is to store and retrieve data. This is why repeating positive affirmations are so effective. You are reprograming your own thought patterns with positive and success-oriented data.
By focusing your thoughts on uplifting ideas, your subconscious will begin to implement a positive pattern in your way of thinking and your outlook on life.
Your subconscious mind is subjective. It does not think or reason independently; it merely obeys the commands it receives from your conscious mind.
Your conscious mind sends commands, and your subconscious mind obeys them.
All our habits of thinking and acting are stored in our subconscious mind. It has memorized all our comfort zones and it works to try and keep us in them.
You can feel your subconscious pulling you back toward your comfort zone each time you try something new. Even thinking about doing something different from what you’re accustomed to will make you feel tense and uneasy.
For us to grow, to get out of our comfort zones, we have to be willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable doing new things the first few times to develop a new comfort zone at a new, higher level of competence.
As we work to reprogram our subconscious mind it will help us believe in ourselves, as our confidence will no longer be challenged by fear of the unknown. But more importantly, doing so will train our brain to be in line with our true desires, dreams, and life goals.
The more in tune with your subconscious you become, the closer you will be to breaking through to success.
Visualize Your Success in your subconscious mind, and it will become a reality.
You can rewrite your history, with your future. Think it So!
This is a Thompson Truth.
