A REIMPOSED BLESSING
Anytime we see, or hear a word, that begins we “Re”, we know it’s pertaining to something about the past.
More often it’s an action that needs, Repeating, Redoing, Relearning, Revisiting, Repositioning, or simply having to be done over again.
To Impose means to force something to be accepted and put in place.
Hence, A Reimposed Blessing is a Blessing that was given to us in our past, but considering all of today’s challenges, trials, time constraints, distractions, misconceptions, oversaturation, influences, and influencers, we will have to force it back into our lives, to be accepted and put in place, for it to operate as the truth, like it was originally intended by God.
All that simply means is, we’re going to have to be intentionally committed to putting this our Blessing back where it belongs.
To Reimpose said Blessing, we must start by Repenting. Like we referenced previously.
This requires us going back and thinking about what God originally ordained mankind to know about himself, and his God.
Let’s revisit the Genesis creation account, it contains a lot of truths about us.
Here are 3 truths that I saw. But I urge you to go back and read it slowly for yourself, in whatever version works best for your comprehension, to see what you see.
Truth #1, God wanted us here! He created a beautiful environment, complete with glorious oceans, fantastic trees, wonderous animals, bright stars, beautiful sun, and glowing moon. But he was still missing something. Us! So, he created the first people, our descendants. Proving we were a part of his plan all along.
Truth #2, We are his masterpiece and unique creation. God chose himself as the mold for our creation. We were given a higher mindset than anything else he created. We were given the capacity to think, reason and use good judgement, be loving, be spiritually astute, to be engaging with others in creation, to experience love, truth, and beauty. We are God’s crowning creation. (To hear more on this, get your signed copy of Divinely Dysfunctional – Unique on Purpose. Divinely Dysfunctional: Unique on Purpose — Benton T. Truth #3, We have been empowered to prosper, that’s what blessed means. God said I bless them, meaning all of mankind. We were not set up for failure, but for greatness. We were made by a blessing, to be a blessing, because we are blessed.
Our journey back began with A Paradigmatic Conversion A PARADIGMATIC CONVERSION — Benton T. Thompson III (bentonthompsoniii.com) which caused us to Repent, and change how were are thinking.
This will position us to Reimpose – bring back from the past, A Blessing – which is the mindset that God is for us and not against us. That he wants us and loves us, he has blessed us. We have been empowered to prosper in everything that we do, and that he chose himself as the model to make us. God is for us.
To Repent and think differently, we must also believe differently.
If we truly want to Reimpose God’s Blessing on our life, then let’s start with our confession of beliefs.
Father God, We believe you made us with a great purpose in mind. We might not know it yet, but we will trust that you will reveal it to us. We’re changing our minds to believe so.
Also, we believe that you made us in your image and your likeness. To be aware, loving, thoughtful, kind, caring, sensitive, interactive, and spiritually insightful. Then you empowered us to prosper by blessing us. We have purpose, We are yours, We are blessed. We are Reimposing the Blessing you placed on our life of higher thinking. Thank you, Father God. Amen.
