Whether we are talking about everyday challenges, or major life events, stress is a part of life. It is very difficult to avoid it.

Given this is how things are likely to be, it is imperative that we have some good coping mechanisms or stress relievers at the ready. We are probably going to need them.

As fate would have it, I have just happened to have one of the most affordable, easily accessible, user friendly, most efficient, stress relievers ever known to mankind.

Drum roll please…It is LAUGHTER! Yep, Laughter.

Laughter is a great stress reliever!

Even my Faith Manual speaks of the power of Laughter; A merry heart is good medicine.

Perhaps you might have heard it said, laughter is good medicine.

This is not just a saying; it is also a proven scientific fact.

Laughter has been known to trigger physical and emotional healthy changes in your body.

Like strengthening your immune system, increasing the flow of blood through your veins and arteries, helping to burn calories, boosting your mood, and helping diminish pain.

Nothing is said to work faster and more dependently than a good laugh.

Let’s give it a try.

Question: How do you get Spoiled Milk? Answer: From a Snobbish Brat Cow!

Question: What kind of person cares for chickens? Answer: A Chicken Tender

The doctor said watch what you eat. So, the man set a mirror at his dinner table.

She used to have an hour-glass figure, but now it seems that her sand has shifted.

See…you just felt a little better, didn’t you?

Possibly? Maybe? Well, you get the idea.

Laughter can lighten your burdens, inspire you with hope, fill you with joy, connect you with others, release penned up anger, and even add years to your life.

All this from Laughter. Best of all it is fun, free, and easy to use.

As children we probably laughed a lot more than we do now. We need to tap into our inner fun, free, silly, child. Not the crazy one.

The more we can laugh, the healthier we will be.

Laughter also decreases stress hormones and increases infection fighting antibodies.

Along with its many medical advantages, laughter also gives respite from sadness and pain, by providing courage and strength to continue to move forward.

Faith mixed with some Laughter gave Sarah a miracle like she had not seen.

As we begin to incorporate more humor and laughter in our lives, we will experience first-hand its many benefits.

Let me warn you though, laughter is contagious. Catch it, feel it, and pass it on!

The more we laugh, the less strains of stress we will feel.

So, read/listen to/watch something funny, call a friend that makes you laugh, or get tickled by a loved one. Whatever works for you.

Live, Love, and Laugh your way to a healthier YOU.

                                                                            This is a Thompson Truth.
