I THOUGHT SO Part 5
This is the final session in the I Thought So, series. I’ve never done a 5-part series on the Thompson Truths before.
This was unprecedented, but I didn’t want to do a disservice and rush through how important our thoughts are, and how we should care for them.
Today I will reveal to you the deeper purpose behind the I THOUGHT SO series. It is found in our title The Knowledge Economy.
Do you know there is a Knowledge Economy? We often associate economy with things like money, gems, stocks, bonds, Krypto. But the Economy of Knowledge supersedes them all.
Over the past few sessions, I’ve shared the value power of thoughts. Because of that great value our thoughts are sought after by many; including God, the devil, humankind, businesses, governments, countries, organizations, etc.
All of them know about Knowledge Economy. The fight for what we are, or will be, thinking.
Did you know there are Thought Farms? Look it up. Places dedicated to harvest what we think.
A very familiar asset in the Knowledge Economy is IP. Yes, Intellectual Property. Someone wants to own your thoughts and ideas. They will offer you money just for what you think. Everyone wants to own that piece of us.
Why? Because our thoughts reflect how we feel, what we believe, and who we will follow.
We are made up of 3 different parts, Spirt, Body, and Soul. Like an egg is a shell, the white, and the yoke.
Our Body is the flesh, it will breakdown and decay, and the devil can attack our flesh.
Our Spirit is the part of God in us. He put some of his spirit in mankind when he blew into Adam. God gave his spirit to us to influence our Soul to choose him and his ways.
Our Soul is the most coveted part of our entire being. Because it belongs to know one. God gave us free-will, which is to say free-choice to select who/what we want to be connected with.
Our Soul houses our thoughts, feelings, desires, conscious mind, subconscious mind, and the unconscious mind. Everyone wants our soul. It is a great prize to win.
“For whom is the object of our hope, or joy, or victor’s wreath of triumphant celebration, when we stand in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you? For you are indeed our glory and our joy.” 1 Thessalonians 2:19
What the Apostle Paul was describing here is known as the Crown of Rejoicing or the Soul Winners Crown. Yes, all of heaven rejoices when someone’s soul/mind/thoughts are won over to God, and you’ll get a crown if you are able to do this.
As earlier stated, the world also wants to win your soul and thus every show, program, commercial and advertisement we see on any platform is soliciting the vote of our Soul.
The Bible teaches that our Soul is worth more than anything in the world.
“What benefit is there is someone gains everything the world has to offer and yet loses his soul?” Mark 8:36
“What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world yet forfeit his soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?” Matthew 16:26
Why is our Soul so valuable? Because it is eternal. We will forever live with our choices.
The devil tempts our Soul to S.I.N – Be involved in Selfish, Immoral, Nonsense – against God.
US President Joe Biden gave a speech about The Fight for the Soul of a Nation. He expressed that there was a battle for our minds, to get us to think a certain way.
It’s all about the Knowledge Economy. The battle for Human Souls.
Aristotle believed the soul was divided into 3 parts; The Nutritive part – which focuses on growth and health. The Rational part – which deals with reasoning and what areas are logical, not spiritual. And the third area is The Appetitive part – which deals with desires, or getting whatever it is that we want.
Most suitors for our soul’s appeal to either our health, logic, or desires.
Satan tempted Jesus in his health, logic, and desires in an attempt to win his soul. (Matt. 4)
Knowledge Economy aka Battle for Your Soul is what Spiritual Warfare is all about.
Death takes life from the body, not from the soul. If we lose our soul, we can never recover it. Stuff can never be more valuable than our souls. Your soul wants much more than just stuff.
That’s why when people get stuff, they still aren’t satisfied, that’s because they’re not soul satisfied.
Whoever wins our thoughts wins our soul.
God puts it this way… Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things. Philippians 4:8
