DEVELOPING UNSHAKEABLENESS
During periods of intense nervousness or anxiety, is when we feel that sensation to either "Fight or Flight".
We all know that difficulties and trials can bombard us from almost any direction, at any time.
It is true, our narrative lately has been unparalleled; the virus and all its repercussions, mounting racial tensions, governmental elections, economic uncertainty – there is a lot going on that can potentially stress us out, and shake us up, leaving us in a crumbling pile of fear and worry.
During times like these, in which we are constantly surrounded by uncertainty and fear, it can be easy to become buried under intense pressure and emotions.
Trying to be unshakeable in the face of this adversity can be quite daunting.
We must understand that becoming unshakeable is all about a state of knowingness.
Yes, knowingness. What do we know?
When you know---What you know---That is what you hold on to!
It is the unknown and the uncertainty that shakes us.
I would imagine that most of us have faced more than our fair share of challenges and uncertainty in recent memory. But the good news is that faith works in every type of circumstance.
The good, the bad, and even the unknown situations of life. Faith still works!
Only an unshakeable faith will keep us standing firm through it all.
Faith is a necessity to function in society today.
Faith must become a staple of our lives.
So how do we become firm and unshakable in faith? Glad you asked!
Faith is not dependent on what is happening around us, when it is rooted in an unshakeable God.
Let’s try taking some time to invest in our faith in God.
We can be transported beyond the shakable things around us to a place of peace in an unshakeable God.
Whatever measure of faith you have now, has the potential to grow! Use what you have and watch as it increases.
There is a lot of talk about a “new normal” - but you can shift your normal by the environments that you put yourself in on a consistent basis.
You get to determine what is normal for you.
Boost your faith by being in environments of faith.
If you are in lockdown, your usual options are limited but choose to see the opportunity amidst the chaos. Find FAITH, you need it… and it needs you!
The diamond in the rough here is the opportunity to do what is often so difficult for many of us; take advantage of the time off and time alone.
It is through this adversity that we have been given the opportunity to transcend. The meaning we give to situations is our own.
This is a Thompson Truth.
