TRANS A
In our current society the word TRANS has various meanings, that can invoke different emotions.
Today I want us to focus on one of the original usages of the word TRANS, which was Transcendent.
The word Transcendent means above, beyond, surpassing, exceptional.
Another reference I found for Transcendent, was God. Yes, God Is Transcendent!
He is higher, greater, and more loving than we can possibly comprehend with our natural mind. He is better, more forgiving than any human being can fully wrap their minds around. He is Exceptional!
Look at what God himself tells us in Isaiah 55: 8,9
My thoughts are different than your thoughts, (they come from a different place) and my ways are not like your ways. If you were to consider how much higher the heavens are above the earth, then that offers a glimpse into just how much higher my thoughts are than yours.
Humanity has natural boundaries and limitations. God is Spiritual, and nothing can bound him.
Our body confines our being. God has no body to confine him. We are limited, God is limitless. We have limited resources. God can just make any resource he needs. We have a start and top. God is eternal, he is both the beginning and the ending of all things simultaneously.
All things’ considered God is far beyond humanity’s full experience, perception, and grasp of who he is. Unless…
Unless…We too, Trans.
Our Trans is Transform. We must be Transformed in order to Transcend.
Most of us have likely never experienced true Transformation. We typically hover in the realm of Modification.
Modification and Transformation are two totally different things.
Modification refers to amending a thing. In other words, just putting a new spin on and old thing. Like changing to the latest fragrance, while neglecting to wash the body. Something different on the old. SSDD!
Transformation on the other hand means to experience a metamorphosis, a change. It is when something that used to be is no longer what it once was, now it has become something completely different.
In nature, a Cockroach modifies. It can adapt to almost any surrounding. It has been on the planet earth for more than 300 million years, seen numerous changes in the environment and with humanity, yet it remains a Cockroach. It doesn’t change, it just fits in.
On the other hand, a Caterpillar is noted for its metamorphosis a.k.a. transformation. It changes from one thing into a totally different thing. It stops crawling through life and learned to fly. That’s Transformative!
To experience God as we should, as he wants us to, we cannot remain like the Cockroach or Caterpillar, we must transform into the Butterfly.
Butterflies can go far beyond. Caterpillars and Cockroaches have been and will always be earth bound.
Caterpillars get stepped on, but rarely do you see a smashed Butterfly.
Butterflies and Caterpillars are all natural examples. But God is Spirit, so let’s look at some Spiritual examples.
In order to become a Spiritual Butterfly, we must experience a Trans Spiritual change. Which is to change from one type of Spirit into a completely different type of Spirit.
The Spirit of a Spiritual Caterpillars go to church. They make noise, eat, and then leave, still they are a Caterpillar. They crawl over people.
The Spirit of a Spiritual Butterflies is different. They become the Church; they seek to feed others. Spiritual Butterflies enlighten. They fill you with a warm feeling and a smile. They are Uplifting.
Not all Caterpillars automatically and easily turn into Butterflies.
Some are Caterpillars for many years, some die never reaching their potential. Others turn into Moths, night creatures looking for the light.
If you are hearing this Truth, you’re probably a Butterfly living a Caterpillar life. Something in you knows there is more.
You are unwilling to settle for just being a fast-moving Caterpillar. You have realized that God has heights for you, that you must fly to reach.
Seekers are a Tribe of Butterflies looking for their wings.
Let’s travel together on this Trans Journey!
