UNBELIEFMENT
Quite often, we’ll hear someone talking about Believing, and the Power of Belief, and everything that it can do.
We’ve likely all heard those conversations more times than we care to remember.
But what about Unbelief? What can it do? Is there any power in Unbelief?
I thought it would be great if today we explored the Power of Unbelief, or what I have deemed “UnBeliefment”. The Power of Unbelieving.
Yes, it’s a word that I made up. But just follow along with me, will ya.
Ok, First, I want to begin with this fact.
Unbelief is not the same thing as a Lack of Faith.
Unbelief is so much stronger and more impactful than just having a lack of Faith.
A lack of Faith is simply that, it is when your Faith is lacking.
For those that have Faith we believe that God can and will do all things. For those who are lacking in Faith, they do have some Faith, but they are just not fully convinced yet.
Think of it in financial terms. If you are lacking in money, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have any money. It just means that you don’t have enough money to do all the things that you want or need to do.
In Faith, the focus is on God, His Word, and his promises. In Unbelief, the focus is on the things that are believed to be more powerful than God, His Word, and his promises.
Simply put, when you Un Believe something, you undo, discount, refute, deny, reject everything that someone else believes is true.
Believers believe in the power of God. Un Believers believe in the power of things other than God.
Let’s see how this relates to a lack of Faith vs Unbelief regarding finances.
Someone with a lack of faith to believe God, His Word, and his promises might ask someone to pray for them in their situation.
But someone who practices UnBeliefment, will go and steal what they need. They don’t have any confidence in God. Believing God is not an option for them.
Unbeliefment is even stronger than someone who doesn’t believe. Because quite often someone doesn’t believe, simply because they just don’t know.
But Unbeliefment is when you make a conscious choice to deny, refute, and falsely accuse anything related to God. You basically call God a liar.
Unbiefment breeds and spreads fear. Faith brings comfort.
Unbeliefment weighs you down with conspiracy theories. Faith gives you hope.
Unbeliefment moves you far away from God. Faith brings God close to you.
Unbeliefment makes you disobey, be a rebel. Faith makes you obey, comply, unify.
Unbeliefment is not Atheism. Atheism doesn’t even believe in God. Unbeliefment believes God is weak, powerless, and other things are much stronger than He is.
Unbeliefment would rather you believe in anything rather than God.
Like Pantheism or the Universe as some call it. Which ascribes to the notion that everything is just about substance, matter, and elements.
There is no God, only space, vibrations, and dimensions, and that he is just simply one of those inconsequential things in the universe. God and dandelions are the same.
Unbeliefment says believe in the horoscope, gems, stones, Mother Earth, Big Bang, evolution, mystics, aliens, anything, as long as you deny God credit for anything.
So yeah, I guess I would say there is Power in Unbelief.
I call is Unbeliefment, the process of denying that God did anything, especially anything good.
This is a Thompson Truth
