Welcome to today’s Thompson Truth

In today’s culture climate we are all very sensitive to the words Virus and Malware.

Virus is a trigger for the Pandemic and COVID-19 attacking our body.

Malware suggests that our computer and/or mobile phone with all our personal and sensitive data on it has been compromised/hacked. Both are equally alarming and traumatic.

But many, might not be as familiar with having Malware in your Soul.

For some this might be your first-time hearing of such a thing.

Another word used to describe this is Apostacy. According to Merrian Websters dictionary Apostacy deals with one’s abandonment or refusal to continue following or to continue to recognize one’s religious faith.

When this happens, you’ve gotten Malware in your Soul.

It’s when you’ve said or thought, Forget about God...Jesus, Holy Spirit, the Bible, angels, devils, saints, sinners, church folk and preachers. All of them can go to… I don’t want anything to do with any of it. I’m out!

That’s exactly the intent of this type of malware, to attack your soul and crash your faith so that you will give up on God.

The goal of this virus is to make us Soul Sick!

There is a lot of talk about computer viruses and physical/mental illnesses in the world, yet no one is discussing spiritual illness.

As with most viruses there are some tell signs to let you know if this type of virus is lurking near your personal space.

One of the best-known indicators for a Soul virus is Pop-Ups. Are you having vile and crazy thoughts always popping up in your mind and heart? Are you questioning things about God that you never have before? Have you become so desensitized to the person that God is, do you refer to him like an inanimate object, like, the wind, the universe, nature, or the power source? Or some other inanimate object name?

God is our Father. That’s why Jesus said call him ABBA or daddy.

Many of us wouldn’t dare consider referring to our natural father as “The Wallet”, “the Grass Cuter” or “the hands on the steering wheel that drives the car”. Why should we see God be any different.

If you refer to him as an inanimate object that’s probably a good indicator that the Malware has infiltrated your soul. You’ve been desensitized to his personage. That’s like desensitizing ourself, we were made in his image.

Another sign that you might have the Virus is if your battery drains quicker. Are you run down a lot? Does the smallest little thing seem to overwhelm you? Are you easily exhausted? Your Soul battery might be run down. I’d recommend consider recharging.

I’m sure you’ve noticed by now the Soul Virus symptoms are very similar to what we experience with our electronic devices when they get infected with a virus.

There’s Overheating too. You snap more easily. Irritability runs high. You can also experience Slowness and Poor Connections; your retention isn’t what it used to be. You experience difficulties focusing. Your attention is scattered all over the place. People seem to bother you, no matter what they are doing. You’re easily irritated.

Lastly, there are Unexpected Apps appearing out of nowhere. Are you finding that you are having a Spiritual or Natural APP-etite for things you never did? Strange cravings! Your mind is running away with all kinds of derelict thoughts.

These are only just a few signs that you might be experiencing with Soul Malware. Be sure to do regular self-examinations for any abnormalities.

How do I check my Soul you might ask? Against Gods Holy Word.

You might consider doing a Manufacturer or Factory reset with God.

This attack, is on the essence of who you are. Your soul is uniquely you. It is what God gave you, that’s why the enemy wants it.

Humans are the only ones who have the essence of God blown directly into their souls beginning with brother Adam. Then he/we became a living soul.

Not even the angels of God have what we have.

They asked God, Why Man? What’s so special about them? Psalm 8:4

Our Faith manual puts it this way, “we were fearfully and wonderfully made”. Fearfully is translated from Hebrew meaning “in awe”. God was himself in awe when he made us. Wow! We are each so exceptional that even God our creator was so amazed by us!

That’s why the Malware a.k.a. Enemy’s goal is to Steal, Kill, and Destroy our Soul. He’s envious of who we are!

That’s where we get the phrase from, “O Lord, Save My Soul”

God in us, is our only hope, and the enemy wants us hopeless, so that’s why he attacks our soul.
