VIRUS-MALWARE IN YOUR SOUL Pt. 2
Someone might be wondering, is this Spiritual Virus actually a real thing? Yes, it is.
Now let me ask you a question.
Have you ever been Spiritually Hacked? How would you know?
I don’t think there is an APP that can tell us if we have been or not.
Maybe you’re wondering, how common is it? It’s as common as a cold. Everyone gets it. Many times throughout our life.
Great Faith giants, atheists, newcomers, veterans, old, and young alike.
As relentless as those who are trying to steal your identity, so too is the Soul Hacker. A thief never takes a day off. It’s nonstop.
The truth of the matter is that mankind has been targeted for Spiritual Hacking ever since the Garden of Eden.
Was that really God that you heard? Perhaps you just imagined it was him. That doesn’t sound like something that God would say. Hath God said?
Sound familiar? Those have been the Hackers tactics throughout the generations of time. Same game, new players. Why? Because it works!
“He goes about as a roaring lion (hacker) seeking who he can devour.” 1Peter 5:8.
No matter where we are, or who we are with, the Virus will find us.
Everyone you read about in the Bible was attacked by the Faith Virus.
It’s not a matter of if you’ll get it, but rather how long will it take you to get over it once it has attacked.
Remember, just because you got sick doesn’t mean you have to stay sick
Some people are infected and don’t even know it. That’s why I wanted to share this, Truth. To help us be more mindful and aware.
The desire of this Virus is to create Spiritual Chaos. Like I said last time, it’s a fight for our soul. He wants to make you Soul Sick.
Like any sickness you’re most vulnerable when you’re weak.
You see, we all are 3-part beings. We have a body, a spirit, and a soul.
Our body is our housing/shell of clay. Our spirit is what God gave us.
Our soul is our will. God gave us free will to choose whatever, whoever, whenever we want. Our soul acts like a GPS system and we will go wherever it guides us.
Turn here, drink that, say this, go there, tell them off, you don’t have to take that, you’re not going to make it, let’s do things our own way.
The Hacker wants our soul so that he can get us to choose him/his ways.
Just as there are physical viruses like HIV, Eboli, the Flu and COVID, there are also Spiritual Viruses. Allow me to name just a few.
1. Doubt – Going from questioning to assuming. You counter doubt with truth. Trust what you know to be, not what you assume to be.
2. Weariness – A reluctance to continue. Feelings of despair. “You’re doing good, don’t get weary, keep going you’ll get there” Galatians 6:9
3. Fear – Expectation of danger. Anticipating the worst-case outcome. “Fear does not come from God” 2 Timothy 1:7
4. Pride – Narcissism. I don’t need anyone. I will use everyone to accomplish my goals. “Pride always precedes a fall” Prov 16:18
5. Selfishness – When all your conversations are about YOU.
Just as we are mindful of the symptoms that physical viruses have which attack our body, we can also be mindful of the symptoms which spiritual viruses have that attack our soul.
In the physical realm of our bodies, a virus is microscopic, which means it is too small to be perceived by the human senses. That virus replicates itself within a healthy cell in our body and thus spreads the disease.
So too is the case with a spiritual virus, it begins as a small and not easily detected thought, nothing earth shattering just a simple “What if”.
Then that thought forms into a habit. Once the habit is regular and continual it becomes permanent in your belief system, which is like the body’s immune system.
When this happens, our soul has been infected. We are in Dis-Ease
What’s common in both the physical virus and a spiritual virus is they need a host body.
Viruses come to break us down.
Just as we are vigilant to work out physically and eat right, we must also be resigned to applying those same efforts to our soul.
A pastor whom my father and I loved dearly, put it this way.
