VISION HEALTH
How is your Vision Health? Are you seeing what you should be seeing?
There’s a lot of people these days getting surgical eye improvements. I guess its because they realize there’s a problem with their Vision.
A study I read showed that in 2022 more than 26 million people in the U.S. had eye surgery. That suggests that almost 2 out of every 10 people realized they had a Vision issue and decided to do something about it.
What about you? Do you have Vision for where you are trying to go?
Unclear Vision affects your equilibrium. Disorientation happens!
Proverbs 29:18 says, “where there is no Vision the people will perish”
No Vision means without Gods guidance. No insight, no revelation. Are you trying to go it alone? Is it just you and your thoughts?
Famous novelist Thomas Hardy said, “What’s worse than blindness is seeing something that is not there”
Who is your Vision plan with? Who is your Provider?
I’m not speaking of Kaiser, VSP, Aetna, Blue Cross or some other insurance. I’m asking who’s your Spiritual Vision Healthcare Provider?
A lot of money and time is being spent on improving our Physical Vision, but what about our Spiritual Vision?
Wonder if our Physical Vision issues result from Spiritual Vision issues?
Physical Vision sees what is, but Spiritual Vision sees what can be.
Are you just trusting your head for answers and not your heart?
Look at what Proverbs 3:5 says.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight”
Physical Vision occurs in the head, looking out at others, and trying to replicate what you think you see, that you think they have.
But Spiritual Vision occurs in the heart, and looks inward to search the soul, to find God and manifest Him outwardly to improve your life.
One of them, (Sight) pulls man and all his foolishness inside, the other one (Vision) empowers God from inside of you to impact your world.
Helen Kellar said, “it is better to be blind and see with your heart, than to have two eyes and see nothing”.
Are you Seeing and Struggling, or are you following Vision to Victory?
Are you listening to yourself and others or are you listening to God?
When we rely upon Gods guidance and wisdom rather than our own short sighted and limited understanding, judgement, or reasoning, then we will not have to seek Gods promises, they will be seeking us.
If your Spiritual Vision is off, then you might be suffering from one of these 10 known vision diseases.
Remember, everything Physical thing has a Spiritual birth certificate.
#1 Astigmatism – When your life vision has been shaped incorrectly you are unclear/uncertain. It’s blurred on what to do. Doubt is dominant.
#2 Near-Sightedness – This issue occurs when you try to look too far ahead. Worried about what’s next? You are straining to see the future.
#3 Far-Sightedness – Unbalanced vision. When you can’t enjoy what you have now. Don’t celebrate the ordinary. Unappreciative of today.
#4 Dry Eyes – Looking too hard for the deep meaning in everything. When you try to make it all make sense to you. Being too analytic.
#5 Cataracts – You’ve got foggy vision. Looking through clouded lenses. Fake News! “Likes” isn’t Love. Envious of a “posting”.
#6 Glaucoma – Stress on your spiritual lens. You’ve allowed the cares and issues of this world to affect how you see. Always tense/worried.
#7 Color Blindness – You only see and hear the bad news. Everything is a CONSPIRACY. FOX, Meta, IG, others are your glasses to view life.
#8 Floaters – Distractions. Annoyances. Bogged down by all the stuff flying around. Anything that is trying to take your focus off God.
#9 Double Vision – Too many perspectives. Too many gods. Too many viewpoints. You don’t know what or who to believe anymore.
#10 Complete Blindness – Trust issues. Authority issues. You want to be in control. You want everything your way and in your time.
Ignoring your Spiritual senses will always have Physical consequences.
Here are 4 simple ways to improve your Spiritual Vision:
#1 Pray – Ask God for his wisdom.
#2 Read – Have regular Bible study time. Not just when there’s an issue.
#3 Seek – Get counseling.
#4 Forgive – Unforgiveness will always cause you to go blind with anger, vengeance or self-pity. Forgive for your own sake.
Spiritual Vision requires us to See Inward, that’s when we get Insight.
Physical Vision wants you to look Outward at others, that’s where we get Judgement, Jealousy and Comparison from.
French philosopher Blaise Pascal said, “Faith provides all the light needed for those who want to believe, and all the shadows for those who don’t”
We need Gods Vision, not another flawed personal perspective!
