VISIONLESS

If you hadn’t heard of the word Visionless before today don’t worry, neither had I, until I began studying for this Truth.

It’s been used in the English vernacular since the early 1800’s. The primary meaning of Visionless is lacking the faculty of sight / blind.

Did you know that the most dreaded and revered illness or disability of any impairment is a fear of blindness? It’s terrible to lose your Vision!

Global reports indicate that at least 2.2 billion people out of the 8 billion people on planet earth have some form of vision impairment. That means that 1 out of every 4 of us have a Physical Vision problem.

Physical Sight – Relates to a collection process involving the perception of the natural surrounding through the physical structure in the head known as the eyes. The brain interprets that information received from the eyes and then sends it through the neural pathway to develop that information into picture form, which we know as Physical Vision.

Here is a breakdown of how the two work together.

Physical Sight a.k.a. eyesight deals with one’s visual acuity, it’s a measurable ability. Think eye exam. What do YOU see now? It’s very individualistic and quite subjective.

Physical Vision deals with the interpretation of what was captured through the eyes. That’s why two people can be looking at the same thing but interpreting what they saw differently.

But Physical Sight and Vision are not the only methods by which we view information.

Another type of system by which we receive information is through Mental Sight and Vision. Those are the images that we see in our minds eye.

Our mind records every experience that we have. And many times, without provocation or invitation, it randomly replays a scene on the canvas of our thoughts. Sometimes with inappropriate timing and subject matter.

A thought or memory shows up from nowhere. It then creates a mental picture that evokes an emotion. The erraticism of these thoughts can send you into a manic state. Happy to hurtful, ecstatic to erotic, frightened to feigning, jubilant to jealousy, angry to anxious, etc.

There is a third type of Sight and Vision, and it addresses the second meaning of the word Visionless, to lack foresight and imagination.

This third type of Sight and Vision is heavily reliant upon both foresight and imagination, it is called Spiritual Sight and Vision.

While good physical eyesight is definitely a blessing. And as amazing and beneficial as our eyes are, they have limitations in that they can only see natural physical realities and possibilities.

Spiritual Sight and Vision is far more valuable because it enables us to see eternal possibilities and realities—which are not visible to our physical eyes. Spiritual Sight and Vision is how we see Hope.

Physical Sight only sees what was…Spiritual Sight sees what can be!

We already know what was. Don’t you want to know what can be?

“Having eyes but cannot see, and ears cannot hear” is a biblical metaphor for Spiritual blindness and Spiritual deafness.

Did you know that you could be blind, but still have vision?

Or conversely, that you can have sight and yet be without vision?

These are not oxymorons, they are Truths!

Just because someone is blind that doesn’t mean they have no vision.

Not having vision is a much greater disability than being blind.

Before you get outraged and say how could I say such a thing, I want you to know that I am just merely repeating what someone else said.

Helen Kellar said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision”

Stevland Judkins / Stevie Wonder is blind but has great vision. Ray Charles Robinson was blind but had great vision. Hellen Adams Kellar was blind but had great vision.

Many people begin working on their vision boards without having true vision, simply because they heard that it was the thing to do.

Sight doesn’t automatically guarantee that you will have insight! The best vision is not based on sight but on insight. Insight is Inspired.

Having vision is not the same thing as having A Vision. Those greats that I spoke of previously all had A Vision. A Vision is Inspired Insight

Vision is Hebrew for Charzon, which refers to a Divine revelation, not simply one’s goals or plans but the Divine plans for your life.

The leading cause of vision impairment and blindness is refractive errors. In other words, we are only seeing a partial picture because we are looking INTO the wrong things, and it is blinding us.

The Divine’s plan is the one we should be writing on our Vision Boards.

This is a Thompson Truth
