HEART HEALTH - DETECTION

We recently talked about Heart Health Awareness. We learned that heart disease takes the lives of nearly 20 million people globally each year.

In the U.S. alone, heart disease, is the #1 killer of men and women claiming one million lives yearly. Some of us know this firsthand.

Despite great advances in medical research, lives are still being lost. Early detection is always a helpful way to combat this disease.

So today, I want us to look at Heart Health Detection. How can we know if we are a candidate for a Heart Attack? What are some of the signs?

Given the severity and sensitivity of this subject, I’d like to take my time to share the insights that I have.

Previously, we had some ground rules that still need to apply here.

Ground rule#1 Everything Physical was created by Spiritual. “God said”

Ground rule#2 There are 2 worlds: Physical/Earth & Spiritual/Heaven

Ground rule#3 There are 2 realities Physical/Grief & Spiritual/Peace

Ground rule #6 There are 2 hearts Physical/Organ & Spiritual/Essence Here’s a bit of proof: The Spiritual Heart is the one that produces tears.

Our focus will be on the Spiritual Heart, which is where decisions are determined, outcomes are decided, and destinies are set in motion.

A Heart attack is not only a Physical medical condition, but it is also a Spiritual metaphysical condition denoting a Spiritual crisis.

You could’ve had a Spiritual Heart attack, akin to the “silent heart attack”, and not experienced a Physical Heart attack.

The Heart, spiritually represents the core of a person. It is the epicenter of all actions and behaviors. That’s why it’s important to know what has been stored in your heart. “Our words reveal what’s in our Hearts” Luke

Most Physical Heart attacks are caused by coronary artery blockage. That’s when the Heart becomes clogged.

The same can be said for the Spiritual Heart. The Bible refers to this as a “Calloused Heart”. Hardened, insensitive. Psalm 73. Romans 2. Matt 13.

Our Spiritual Heart gets clogged by things like judgment, resentment, retaliation, hatred, offenses, hurts, unforgiveness, discouragement, pettiness, fear and worry. Yes, worry.

All this happens when we don’t consider the Spiritual Heart.

Those contaminants block the flow of love, joy, peace, kindness, forgiveness, clarity, calmness, hope, and happiness in your life.

If you hold a grudge, it’s gonna build up sludge, and clog your heart.

When a natural blockage occurs, the Physical Heart undergoes an Angioplasty procedure to detect where the blockage is.

When the Spiritual Heart experiences blockage it undergoes an Angelicplasty procedure. That’s when Gods Holy Spirit reveals to you where you are restricting the flow of God’s blessings in your life.

The Angelicplasty is a simple 3 step procedure.

Step #1 - Ask

Test me Lord and try me; examine my heart and my mind. Psalm 26:2

Step #2 – Listen

After asking for the examination, listen for a response. Be open! It might not be what you think or come from who you think. God can use anyone

Step #3 – Obey

When you find out what needs to be altered, removed or enhanced, obey. Remember delayed obedience is the same thing as disobedience.

Here is an account in the Bible of a person who underwent an Angelicplasty. Let’s see if we can gain some pointers.

This person had an outward Physical disease that was the result of an inward Spiritual dis-ease. In other words, His heart had a Spiritual issue that manifested Physically in his body. Sometimes the issue might not be what we think it is.

When the man sought a cure for what he thought was his issue, he was told to do something that he thought was both ridiculous and irrelevant.

“God uses foolish things to help those who would be wise” 1 Cornth 1:27

The man refused to accept the recommended treatment plan; because he thought he knew better. But someone convinced him to try what was suggested. He did and was healed from his Spiritual issue; Pride, which allowed the healing to his outward Natural skin issue. See 2 Kings 5

Sometimes WE, can be the blockage that our heart is experiencing.

Here are 9 symptoms of Spiritual Heart blockage or failure.

1.    Movement. Can’t sit still. Be still and know God

2.    Shortness of Breath, while praying. Gimme, Gimmie, Amen.

3.    Ringing in the ears. Don’t want to HEAR about/from God

4.    No appetite for reading Gods word. Just want to clap to a song

5.    Listlessness. Don’t want to help anyone.

6.    Arteriosclerosis, hardness of heart. Judgmental of others

7.    Depression. Overwhelmed emotionally & discouraged.

8.    Increased cynicism. Think everyone is out to get you.

9.    Isolation and withdrawal. Just want to be left alone.

You might not experience all, but any one of them can be deadly.

Heart failure doesn’t mean heart stoppage. It just means your heart is failing to do what it was designed to do.

Spiritual heart failure is just as serious as Physical heart failure. The Spiritual heart has two purposes; love God and love your neighbor as yourself.

If you choose to ignore a symptom, a Heart Attack might be next.

Here are 4 signs of an Attack on your Spiritual Heart

1.    Reasoning – Why am I here. Questioning yourself and God.

2.    Relatedness – Can’t get along with anyone. No tolerance.

3.    Restlessness – Can’t rest. Spiritually disoriented. No hope

4.    Resentment – Unforgiveness. Want others punished. No grace.

Heed the signs and follow the recommended treatment plan and you will recover. God Bless Our Hearts!
