HOW CAN I TRUST GOD?

When someone says, Trust Me? We either say Alright, I will, or Why should I? For some, God falls into the “Why Should I,” category.

For many of us, life can be hard at times. There is frustration, anger, anxieties, disappointments and pain to deal with. Not to mention the uncertainty of it all.

Even if we're having a good day, we still might wonder if, or when things might turn the other way.

Everything seems to be so up in the air. There appears to be no rhyme or reason for why things do or don't occur. Who or what can we trust Should we trust people? Should we trust the media? Should we trust religion? Then the question appears. How can I trust God? The most frequently used argument is, how can I trust in something I can’t see? That is a very logical point. However logic doesn’t always play a role in our choices.

For example, you trust the company you just began working for to make payroll regularly. Is that logical? You startup your vehicle every time, by igniting a spark of fire to several gallons of gasoline. Is that logical?

Have you ever asked what type of student was the doctor who prescribed your medication? Is love logical?

These are all illogical choices that we trust without knowing or seeing proof of why we should. Yet, we trust them. Many times we make these illogical choices to trust in situations simply because we are comfortable with them.

In order to trust God we need to get comfortable with him. We have been made comfortable with something through what has been communicated to us.

Billboards and commercials tell us which products are the best choice. Television, internet and radio personalities tell us what our lifestyle should look like.

Everyone is telling us we can trust them. Everyone says they are the best. That simply isn’t true. We are being lied to.

God Doesn’t Lie. He doesn’t always say what we want to hear, but he doesn’t lie. Men lie, but God doesn’t lie. He can’t.

That’s why I trust God with my pain, my unknown and my life.

Listen to this quote;

“Now when people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding. God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie.”

We swear by God that something is true.  He swears by Himself.
